Steve from Air Authority was Competent and honest!

I'm sorry for the length but I have to give background related to the phenomenal service I received from The Air Authority. Our AC went out in July 2026 and after replacing the usual suspects (filter and capacitor), we suspected the compressor. I checked my records and saw the system had a lifetime warranty on the compressorngrom Goodman. I called what I thought to be an authorized dealer to come take a look. That person came from a company in New Brunswick NJ and he recommended replacing the entire unit because the compressor was not working. I handed him the warranty papers and he was very surprised at the lifetime warranty. He called his company and after much discussion, apparently because they couldn't believe that I had that kind of warranty. I was given a price of $3450 for LABOR to replace the compressor. This is for a job I checked that should cost $500-1000 depending on hourly rates. That was the predatory practices I feared from the beginning. He recommended that for the age of my system I should just bypass replacement of the compressor and pay them $13k to replace the system. They must be quite Rich from these very lucrative business practices.

I declined the $3450 labor for the under warranty compressor. Based on a recommendation, I had Air Authority from Monroe NJ come by to check things out. Although there was strong indications that there was a compressor problem, Steve from Air Authority wanted to check for himself. He opened the wiring compartment and almost immediately mentioned that there appears to be a loose connection in the connector. He adjusted the connection and turned the power back on and the AC is now working flawlessly. There are honest people left in this world and I emphatically recommend Air Authority of Monroe New Jersey not only for their competence but most importantly for their honesty.

I can’t recommend The Air Authority enough!

Steve, the owner, is incredibly knowledgeable about HVAC systems and his quality of work is top-notch.

We have used The Air Authority on multiple occasions at different properties we have. He has done installations, services and repairs for us and we have always been happy with his work! He is very responsive and has always come out same day when an issue arises.

If you’re looking for reliable HVAC services, definitely give The Air Authority a call. You won’t be disappointed!

I would highly recommend Air Authority. They installed an HVAC system in our new addition. Steve and his team were punctual, professional, respectful of our home and cleaned up everything afterwards. They were knowledgeable and explained the new system clearly. The price was fair and the service was top notch. Definitely 5 star all the way.

I came home in the wee hours of the morning from work to find water leakage in garage and no heat in home ! Steve came over that morning while I was at work , took care of pipe burst in garage and picked up parts for my Furnace and had my heat back up and running within a few hours ! So grateful for his time and his honesty ! Awesome job thank you Air Authority 🙏🫡🫵

Steve was here everyday and sweating, working hard because, boy was it hot. He found some jewelry in the ceiling, but gave it right to us! Honest as Abe Lincoln. And he a local professional, not some corporate name. Easy to talk with about your project, very personable. And has great stories to go along with his services! Oh, and the price was seriously unbeatable!
